Facebook revealed in a white paper that its users have uploaded more than 250 billion photos, and are uploading 350 million new photos each day. To put that into perspective, that would mean that each of Facebook’s 1.15 billion users have uploaded an average of 217 photos each. Photos uploaded daily On a daily basis that seems like we are uploading about 0.3 of a photo, or about 10 photos each per month. So while in aggregate that’s not bad, but it only represents a small portion of all the photos taken … These numbers do not include photo uploads on Instagram which is about 60 million per day according to the site. Snapchat takes the lead Snapchat on the other hand now seems to have to broken through 800 million snaps per day (assuming all of those are photos). In a recent article Snapchat said that its snap are now out viewed by a new feature – stories. As of June 2014, stories were viewed more than 1 billion times per day.
